Are you pregnant and expecting a baby?

We would be thrilled to meet you before your baby makes his or her arrival! Please request a complimentary prenatal visit on our website or give our office a call to schedule this type of appointment. We are currently offering virtual prenatal visits via our telemedicine platform or in-person prenatal visits where we can also give you a tour of the office.

The prenatal visit is a good time for us to share the office hours, policies, and services we provide, although for your convenience, you can find most of that information on our website. This visit is also a good time for us to discuss any complications you have had during your pregnancy and how this might affect the baby. Most importantly, the prenatal consultation is a great way to see if Dr. Michelle Suhendra and Over the Moon Pediatrics is a good fit for your family.

The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends that you pick a pediatrician to act as your child’s primary care provider. This pediatrician will provide your child with a medical home, which is a model in which patients have a relationship with their physician over a long period of time. By establishing a medical home for your child, you establish a relationship with your pediatrician who knows your child and his/her history and is able to follow your child’s development and progress. Picking a pediatrician that you get along with and trust is crucial to providing quality care for your child.

As you prepare for delivery, along with childbirth classes, breastfeeding classes, and parenting classes, be sure to carve out some time to schedule your complimentary prenatal consultation with Over the Moon Pediatrics. After your prenatal visit, should you decide to continue using Over the Moon Pediatrics for your child’s pediatric care, it will be important to be sure that Dr. Michelle Suhendra is included in your insurance plan.

Please note that while we do not require a prenatal visit before accepting a newborn as a patient, we will only accept babies born at home via homebirth whose parents have done a prenatal visit and call us within 24 hours of delivery to schedule the first checkup.
